How Do Animals Survive Winter?

Good morning, Axelle! 🐻❄️ We were just watching the birds outside and wondering—how do they handle the freezing nights? That got us thinking about all the clever critters out there. So, this week’s mission is all about winter survival!

The Big Question: How do animals stay alive when it’s snowing and super cold?

The Mission: Pick one animal (bear, bird, frog, or any you love) and create a mini poster showing its winter plan. Include:
- Where it goes (hibernation spot, migration path, or cozy den)
- What it eats (or if it doesn’t eat at all!)
- How it stays warm (extra fur, fat, or huddling?)

The Science Check: Before you start, list three different strategies animals use—like hibernation, migration, and growing thicker coats. Then choose your animal and explain which one it uses.

Investor Update: Don’t forget to add a fun fact about your animal to make your poster pop! 🎨

Did you know? The Arctic fox’s fur changes color—brown in summer, white in winter—so it can sneak up on prey in the snow! 🦊

Have fuuuun!!!

Onward and Upward,
Mama & Papa
