The Secret Life of Octopuses ๐
Good morning, Axelle! ๐
Did you know that octopuses have three hearts and blue blood? And when they swim, one heart actually stops beating! That's because they are just THAT cool.
The Big Question: How can an octopus change its color, shape, and even texture in the blink of an eye?
The Mission:
1. Find out what special cells in their skin let them blend into rocks, coral, or sand.
2. Discover why an octopus might squirt ink โ is it just to hide, or something more clever?
3. Think about this: If you could change your skin like an octopus, what would you turn into and why?
The Science Check: What is camouflage, and how is it different from an octopus's color-changing trick?
Did you know? An octopus has nine brains โ one central brain and one in each arm! That means each arm can taste and touch on its own. Imagine being able to taste with your elbows!
Have fuuuun!!!
Onward and Upward,
