Painting With Mud and Sky
Good morning, Axelle!
Imagine painting a picture so big you have to walk across it. That's exactly what today's artist does.
The Big Question: Why would someone make art that only exists for a few weeks?
The Mission:
1. Meet Andy Goldsworthy — an artist who builds sculptures from ice, leaves, stones, and even his own spit.
2. Find one of his works that melted or washed away. Why do you think he wants that?
3. Go outside and build your own temporary sculpture from things you find. (No picking living plants!)
Did you know? Goldsworthy once made a sculpture of icicles that vanished within hours — and he says the disappearing is part of the art.
Have fuuuun!!!
